Sadly, Jesus did not succeed in his mission, he laboured in vain, he achieved nothing, other than to glorifying the name ‘Jesus’. As it happens over and over again in history of mankind, the stiff neck bronze skull man would not listen. In Psalm 22 GOD even gave a detailed prophecy of the torture that Jesus suffered a thousand years before Jesus arrival; bleeding profusely, joints out of place, open wounds so deep that bones could be seen and counted, belongings divided by casting lots. Jesus died with the wicked, buried like a rich man is also prophecies in Isaiah 53:9. Why did GOD give such detailed account of the humiliation, torture, death and burial, but left out resurrection?
Isaiah 49:1-4 (by Jesus, except verse 3 by GOD)
1 Listen to me, O coastlands, and give attention, you people from afar. The LORD called me from the womb, from the body of my mother he named my name. 2 He made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand he hid me; he made me a polished arrow; in his quiver he hid me away. 3 And he said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified.” 4 But I said, “I have labored in vain; I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely my right is with the LORD, and my recompense with my God.”
Psalm 22:12-18 (author) Jesus tortured and crucified prophecy
12 Many bulls encompass me; strong bulls of Bashan surround me; 13 they open wide their mouths at me, like a ravening and roaring lion. 14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is like wax; it is melted within my breast; 15 my strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to my jaws; you lay me in the dust of death.16 For dogs encompass me; a company of evil doers encircles me; they have pierced my hands and feet– 17 I can count all my bones– they stare and gloat over me; 18 they divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots.
Isaiah 53:9 (author) Jesus death and burial prophecy
9 And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth.
Although GOD knows what would happen when he send Jesus to Earth, yet GOD sent Jesus! Man should not presume that GOD would be happy about Jesus’s suffering. GOD IS EXTREMELY ANGREE! GOD is so angered that he was determined to destroy earth when Jesus died at the cross. Jesus started his plea when he prayed three times for GOD to lift the atrocity, so that he could continue with his original mission. Jesus made his plea again at the cross as those men do not know what grievous sin they have committed. GOD would not listen. At the last moment, Jesus was extremely sad that GOD forsaken him and would not allow him to continue. If Jesus had not return to heaven immediately to make his final plea, none of us would be alive today.
